Exploring the bustling streets and Gaudi-inspired architecture of Barcelona just got a little more interesting: Vesping is the scooter rental agency that is taking travel to the next generation with GPS guided Vespas

Cruising the streets of Gaudi’s city is a dream of many, and one that deserves to be done in pure, European style: on two wheels. One Barcelona-based company has a new idea that’s putting a new spin on scooter rental. Vesping is one of the first companies to offer GPS navigated Vespas for that curious traveller that’s seeking a bit of independence.

The idea for Vesping grew out of a need to combine city exploration by scooter with a sense of freedom, and the company offers just that. With a GPS guided scooter, travellers are able to choose their own daily itinerary, plug in desired destinations, get on and go. Following the navigator, they are free to hop from place to place as they wish: from La Sagrada Famìlia to Barceloneta Beach and then finishing the day with a cocktail on one of the city’s trendy rooftop bars like La Terazza del Claris, or indulging in a little late night Spanish cuisine at Tram-Tram located in Uptown Barcelona.

With a wide variety of travellers in the mix, however, other options are available for less independent vacation-goers. Daily tours have been set up by the Vesping team to encourage lone travellers or those looking to meet new people to come together for a group ride and tour. A new scooter adventure begins every day at 10AM with a tour around the city, including entrance to the monumental area of Parc Güell, and feasting on a typical Catalan lunch.

In addition to scooter rental and a myriad of riding and touring options, Vesping is a team of professionals with an expert knowledge of the city. Some vacationers come to Barcelona with a clear idea of where they want to go and what they want to see. Others need a bit more guidance, which is why the team is delighted to sit down and make recommendations for a suitable itinerary that includes restaurants, sights and activities off the beaten path.

With years of getting to know the ins and outs of the city, they are able to get visitors on two wheels, exploring the hidden gems of the enchanting European city we know as Barcelona.
